The first CCWN Live!

The first CCWN (Campbell County Weekly News) Live! is now here.

We're still getting in the swing of podcasting so it's a little rough in some areas..but it gets better towards the end.

And I found a cool widget that can play them with out a page. So it is now on the side, and I will probably take down the separate page. Although descriptions are fun too... So I'm not sure which route I'm gonna go yet. (feel free to comment)And I don't have much more to report at the moment So Adios.

Mysteries abound in Odyssey as Eugene tries to figure out why the Odyssey clocktower is counting down to a mysterious deadline and Emily Jones unmasks the phantom of the school play. Meanwhile, the crew at Whit's End tries fasting,—with hilarious results—and Wooton tries his hand at a radio show ... with no script! 

Odyssey connection:  On Campbell County we have started elections. Which got me thinking about elections in Odyssey. In the early days Curt ran for president (Student council of course) twice in fact. The first time he made all sorts campaign promises he most definitely couldn't keep (By Any Other Name).  The second time Curt ran against Lucy. Which ended up with Curt playing the smear your opponent's reputation strategy. (It Takes Integrity). Then there's Bart who ran for mayor twice. The first being against Tom Riley (Tom for Mayor Parts I &  Part II) and the second against Margret Faye (The One About Trust, Parts I & Part II). Both failed attempts and run in only the way Bart could do it. Our candidates on CC so far prove to be worthy ones unlike Bart and Curt. It'll be hard to choose when it's time to vote.

Collection is caught up YES!

The rest of the albums I ordered came in this week. Which means my collection is caught up and now I can get them as they come out.Can't wait for album 52. (I have a few on cassette that I will eventually upgrade and get on CD...)

In other news, the Odyssey Scoop and the AIO blog have revealed their surprises. The AIO blog's surprise is an interview with Bob and Jesse from the OAIOP! The Scoop's surprise is an interview on the ceiling fan with Jacob Isom.

Odyssey Connection: Yesterday as you know was April Fools Day. Both posts yesterday were jokes by the way. The second one was just for fun on the rest of the CC users. (If you want to see the threads that have to do with the CC joke, go here.)Anyway, as I was playing jokes on people, it made me think of the episode I Slap Floor. I didn't listen to it yesterday, because I'm listening to the ones I just got. (Albums 4, 10, 16, and Passages, and 51.) But it's great because Bernard tells these two kids the wild tale about what happened in Odyssey the past week and....well I won't go on much more in case you haven't heard it. but it's great.

The Closing of CC

Regis the founder of Campbell County, is making a big decision. He's deciding to shut down CC...If you're on CC we need your help to not let this happen. If you've thought about joining before, today is the day to do it, because otherwise you might not get the chance. Maybe a swarm of new members will help Regis realize it's still growing or something..... Also a petition has started so be sure to sign that if you want to help keep CC up. Please help keep our beloved message board alive, otherwise that just leaves the ToO.....Sorry if I'm getting repetitive...but if we let this happen the power button of CC will be pushed and it will be shut down FOREVER! Game For a Mystery Review

First as you can tell I'm once again experimenting with new things. One of which is the new logo which came from Original Joe from Odyssey Way Thanks again. I will also have a poll on the side with a trivia question. After a week or so (or shorter, if I change my mind...)I will have the answer and a quote under the next poll.

 Onto Game for a Mystery.
Here's my thoughts on this episode

First we meet Emily Jones and Barret Jones-new characters
Introduces Verminoids game Barret likes playing. I like Barret and Emily's Dad. Great dad humor.
Barret has an interesting imagination. Kinda like Jared, except his is probably more sue to playing video games. Quick to assume..
Matthew talks a little like Eugene. Seems more and more like a kid Eugene.
Emily is very interesting. Observes the minor details. Good at making deductions.
Very interesting mystery.
Nelson from the Kidsborro series is also in this episode.
This portable verminoids game sounds very updated. Register online, etc. We see more of Matthew's technological smarts side.

This episode is good. It reminds me of another episode called The Bad Hair Day. In that episode a comic book and a pocket knife are missing. They look into it, and Rodney and his gang thinks its Charles that took it. It turns out it was a raccoon. I think it's interesting that they included a raccoon in this one, only to have that option turned down due to deductive reasoning on Emily's part. The end of it was somewhat unexpected. I never would have guessed the culprit. Too bad the game ended up getting ran over...Great mystery episode, maybe not action packed, but intriguing none the less. I'm really liking Matthew. His sense of knowledge, and sometimes big words. More and more like a young Eugene.
I liked it. All in all, I give it a 4/5

I think the relationship between Emily and Matthew can almost be described as flirting which is why I somewhat disliked it. Nelson's Cameo in a non Kidsboro episode was pretty sweet. Garret seems like a nerdy Jimmy Barclay which makes me happy. I also liked how Chris had us look in Proverbs, She hasnt given us an assignment in awhile! All in All I think the episode will be a stepping stone for many more fun adventures with the Jones and Parker Detective Agency. It was OK so I give it Three Stars ***

Clutter Review

In Clutter we meet Red. I like him. I see him being a character that is around for quite a while, or at least I hope so. The Parker's garage kinda sounds like mine, and my basement. I like the Parker kids they are typical kids don't like to clean, bickering, makes it seem more like reality, and reminds me of the Barclays. The way David convinces them to help is genius, and very dad/parent like. The chemistry of the Parkers is great. Andre is really beginning to grow on me as Whit. I can really relate to them, clutter builds up quickly, and is somewhat hard to sort through. Great episode with a good theme and some humor, I give it a 4.5/5

Also in my previous post I mentioned Wooton's middle name. It seems it was revealed in an episode of Clubhouse Magazine. I found it in a comment on The AIO Fan's Life. It seems his middle name is Zicabodia. Kinda reminds me of Ichabodia..

The new season so far is great. Campbell County is gonna do End of Season awards. This is where the users submit niminations for various categories like best charactor, best episode, best quote, and others. From there the winners for each category will be announced on a Podcast called The Whits End Podcast.

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple days. On CC elections have started for admin so I've been preoccupied a bit. So you can join in on the election fun if you want.

On the Scoop, it was said that there aren't very many participants in the scoop yourself contest, so join and have a  somewhat high chance of winning. Also he mentioned that the schedulle for revamped alvums has been updated.

Odyssey connection: Like I said, right now on Campbell County, we're having elections  and I am also running. (CC is back running again, it was under construction.)This will be my third attempt, but if I lose I don't mind. Running is fun too. Good sportsmanship is something I try to remember. If I lose I lose and try again next time. Unlike Eugene playing Bernard at chess and continuously losing, and getting upset and losing sleep over it.

CC News Update

I've mentioned before that Odyssey characters (NPCs) have been appearing in the chatroom on Campbell County. I posted so far two conversations that I have had with Blackgaard. Well today it seems Marvin (from The AIO Fan's Life) and another user named MAINE had an interesting and somewhat entertaining conversation with Rodney Rathbone. To read the full conversat...er argument go to The AIO Fan's Life site. So who could pop into the chatroom next? Tasha? Dorris? Wooton? Eugene? Connie? or maybe Bernard? Who will have the next conversation with an AIO character? It could be you! They just kinda randomly appear in the chatroom. (Or have at least lately during the story arc.)

In other news on Campbell County I (Jason) has started a weekly news segment called CC Weekly News. To see my first news segment (did it before I got banned by the evil Dr. Blackgaard...)go here. As you can see a lot is happening at Campbell County.

Blackgaard Land

Well the evil Blackgaard has succeeded in his takeover of Campbell County. And has also banned Jason (me). Here's a little recap. After his last take over of Campbell County, he "died" due to some wreath poison. Well we thought he was gone for good, but it turns out he wasn't dead the wreath poison actually mixed with the ruku virus and strengthened him. So he dug himself out of the grave at the cemetery and came back for another takeover. Quoted from chat room:

For those of you who are completely lost and wondering what in the world I am talking about, We are in the beginnings of a story arc. Which is a fun little adventure-like period where there is an outbreak of Odyssey NPC (Non Player Characters.)interaction that ties in with a story. So right now, Blackgaard Rodney, and probably others sooner or later, are adding to the fun and interacting with the other users.

User Name Contest

As I have said I am a member of Campbell County. I haven't said what my user name is. I have posted comments on CC that match up with posts here.

So the first person to email my user name correctly (one guess per person please) gets $20 CC dollars (virtual money, that can be used to buy items and such on Campbell County) 2nd and third person to get it gets 10 and 5 CC dollars.

After three people get it right, I will state what it is under contact info.

Also if you send an email, include your CC user name, so I know who to give the money to.

I received my first comment today. So now I know I have at least one reader..Marvin (also the AIO fan's life author) commented that I should add my email. Thanks for the suggestion Marvin. It is now available on the side. so if you have any suggestions for my blog you can email me, or comment here if you prefer.

Also Campbell County got a new job system which included a money reset...So if you haven't joined already now would be as great a time as any. (Because the money is pretty much even right now....) I don't think I've explained in detail what Campbell County is. It is an Odyssey based christian forum. We have all sorts of topics to discuss and comment on. Like Bigfoot, the new Odyssey season, movies, and we have some forum games as well. (At the moment it tends to be a little slow..) So anyone interested would be a great addition.

Odyssey Connections of the day: So first off, today in Sociology/U.S. History, we had a substitute. Nothing too out of the ordinary there, but I began day dreaming on how a class would be like if Wooton became a substitute teacher. That would be so cool.

Also its been snowing pretty much ALL day today...kinda makes me think of the episode Snow day, (again) and Alex's snow song.

Well I think that just about wraps things up for now. So this is Freddy Jay saying when is Spring going to come?

Odyssey gets a makeover

This is somewhat old news by now..Anyway the characters of Odyssey, along with the Whits end site looks different. They redesigned some of the characters (Whit, Connie, Eugene, and WOOTON.)






I know these aren't the full length pics...I may get those later. Anyway I'd love to hear any feedback you may have about the new character designs and the new logo.

Another thing that was in the latest video podcast on the whits end website is that the Passages covers are getting a makeover as well. Darians Rise will look very similar to the audio version cover.

Hey Odyssey Fans out there

Hey I'm Freddy Jay, and I'm hitting the blog scene to give you my Odyssey feedback. I will include my feedback about the new episodes that will begin airing in 30 days. Also I may include bits and pieces of info I pick up.
I know that there are great fan blogs out there already, (Such as The unofficial Whits end Podcast, Odyssey insanity, and The AIO fan's life) I figure why not join the fun!

Today in Sociology we watched a clip about the issue on lowering the drinking age to eighteen. Personally I don't think its a good idea....it made me think of the Odyssey episode with the toy chicken. I think if they lowered the drinking age it would just make it easier for younger kids to get a hold of.....And it would just make the drunk driving issue worse.

One more thing before I go. There's an awesome Odyssey message board (not the ToO but that one is great too) Its called Campbell County. There aren't a whole lot of active members right now.....Its growing steadily though.

I will have links on the side later that are great Odyssey sites/blogs.
